Callie Keller, C-TAGME

Callie Keller is the Assistant Administrator for Education and Faculty Affairs in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Virginia. In this role, she provides strategic and operational leadership for the department's educational mission, partnering with departmental leadership, faculty, trainees, medical students, and staff to advance graduate medical education, faculty development, and program excellence.

Callie earned her bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from Yale University. After beginning her career in finance, she took time away from the workforce to raise her four children before joining UVA in 2013 on a part-time project basis. She quickly discovered a passion for medical education and the meaningful impact it has on learners, faculty, and patient care.

Dedicated to professional growth, Callie earned her Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) certification and a Project Management certification through the University of Virginia. She also serves as Co-Chair of the UVA Graduate Medical Education (GME) Coordinator Council, collaborating with colleagues across the institution to advance best practices in GME administration.

Known throughout the department as "The Fixer," Callie enjoys solving complex challenges and serving as a trusted liaison between departmental leadership, faculty, and trainees. Her professional interests include resident and faculty wellness, professionalism, faculty recognition, continuing medical education, leadership development, and fostering a supportive culture that prepares the next generation of anesthesiology clinicians, educators, and leaders.

Outside of work, Callie enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her adult children, and spoiling her grandchildren!
