Professional Bio

Tammy Bleeker, MEd, C-TAGME is the Assistant Director, Education Administration at the University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology. Tammy earned her bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Saint Leo University. Her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Educational Technology was earned from the University of Florida. Prior to joining Anesthesiology, she served in several capacities in Pediatric Medical Education at UF. During her time in pediatrics, she served on the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD) Coordinator Executive Committee for three years. During this time, she presented and led workshops at the APPD national conference. She is serving her second two-year term as a voting member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and was recently appointed to serve a two-year term on the inaugural UF GME Coordinator Advisory Council. She is a graduate of the UF Emerging Leaders Academy and was accepted to the Advanced Leadership for Academics and Professionals (ALAP) Program. Tammy was named a UF Champion for Change award recipient for Health & Wellbeing and served on the UF Wellness Committee for four years. She introduced and leads the Joy in the Workplace initiative in her department, which incorporates social and service activities, to foster a positive and connected work culture - an effort that has received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
