Professional Bio
Callie Keller is an Assistant Administrator, overseeing Education and Faculty Affairs & Development, at the University of Virginia for the Department of Anesthesiology. Callie began her career at UVA in 2013 on a part-time project basis and quickly became enthralled with the genre, facets, and importance of medical education. She finds great fulfillment in being a liaison between the Chair, Vice Chairs, faculty and trainees to improve policies, program structure, and trainee experiences. She is lovingly referred to as "The Fixer" by faculty and trainees! Last year she got her project management certification through UVA. She has helped develop new curriculum and programming, write an ACGME Back to Bedside Grant, and manage multiple improvement processes across the department. Some of her professional interests involve resident/faculty wellness and professionalism, continuing education conferences, and helping to create a supportive, familial environment to train the next generation of anesthesiology clinicians and leaders. On a personal note, Callie enjoys spending time and adventuring with her husband, four adult children, and spoiling her grandson!
