The Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine (DACCPM) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is offering a fellowship position in our ACGME-accredited Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship program. The fellowship strives to recruit, mentor and train future leaders in the field of pediatric anesthesia to:
• Advance the field of pediatric anesthesia through research and scholarly activity
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and engagement in learning and teaching
• Direct and manage complex care of pediatric patients
As a collaborative-hybrid program, fellows have the unique opportunity to learn from experts at MGH, and at nationally recognized institutions such as Mass. Eye and Ear, Shriners Children’s - Boston and Boston Children’s Hospital. Graduates from the Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship will have clinical, teaching, leadership and fundamental research skills to apply to future faculty positions.
The Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship offers a comprehensive clinical and didactic program that incorporates mentorship, lectures and simulation training to enhance the fellow’s ability to become perioperative consultants in pediatric anesthesiology. The program emphasizes key career building opportunities for the fellow, including exposure to diverse pediatric research projects, participation in patient safety initiatives, and participation in the Mass General Brigham Graduate Medical Education Clinical Teaching Skills Course.
The Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship is a 12-month program that begins after successful completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency program.
